This battlefield in Manassas is where the two battles of Bull Run were fought. The McLean family was unfortunate to have the war start there in their hometown. It also ended in their new home in Appomattox Court House.

As you can tell the building is not symmetrical and it was gradually expanded from a simple farmhouse that G Washington inherited from one of his brothers.

Finally, the father of our country was quite the inventor too. He developed this silo where horses could thresh wheat by walking in circles instead of having to manually do it with slave labor. Thus freeing them to do other labor intensive jobs...
